Funding awards to pump-prime high-quality studies and provide pilot, proof of concept or de-risking for external funding applications
We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the second round of the NIHR Exeter BRC Small Project Grants.
Full details of the award can be found in the guidance document below, but please see below a brief summary:
Aim: Fund pilot projects, proof-of-concept work, or de-risking studies with the expectation that this will strengthen onward external funding applications.
Scope: We are offering individual grants of up to £25,000, although we strongly encourage requests for smaller awards of £10K or less. We welcome interdisciplinary projects that cut across two or more of our five themes or emerging themes, however, a primary theme must be indicated.
*Please note that you do not need to request funds for the full duration.
Eligibility: The lead applicant must be employed by the University of Exeter and/or one of our NHS Partner Trusts, hold a contract of employment for the full duration of the award and be a member of the NIHR Exeter BRC (individuals whose research aligns with the BRC aims and objectives).
Deadline for submission: 5pm Sunday 9th March 2025
