Darren acts as bioinformatics support within the neurodegeneration theme. Currently he is using Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) sequencing to identify brain cell specific epigenetic profiles from FANS sorted nuclei with Emma Dempster and Jon Mill. He is also working with Tom Piers to analyse transcriptomic profiles from iPSC cell lines harbouring Alzheimer’s Disease risk alleles.
