Martha is a PhD researcher with the NIHR Exeter BRC in the Clinical Diabetes Research Group, supervised by Dr. John Dennis. Her research focuses on using data science to advance precision medicine in type 2 diabetes. The aim is to improve care by predicting the optimal treatment for each individual based on their clinical characteristics, moving beyond from the current “one-size-fits-all” approach.

Martha graduated with a first-class BSc in Mathematics and Data Science from the University of Exeter. Alongside her studies, she worked as a healthcare assistant at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, gaining valuable hands-on experience in healthcare. She then completed an MSc in Health Data Science, combining her experience in data analysis and healthcare to support her current research.
